I can tell you that i don`t intend to make a fortune in a day ... just 10 to 50 pips / day trading 5 pairs - EU GU EJ GJ AND UJ

    My method...

4h chart with MACD RSI(5) and STOCH = determine main trend
1h chart to determine current short period trend
15 min chart with STOCH ,RSI(5), Parabolic SAR and Bolgerr bands

Using 4 H chart to identify main trend and 1 H chart for short term trend is a good idea. But my suggestion! when u see main trend is up but it is falling in 1 H chart, don't go for short . Ur ultimate traget is long, so wait for better entry point.I suggest to use also 15 minutes chart to undersatnd wht gonna pappen in 1 H chart. So when u see that short term trend has completed its bearish trend and uptrend has alerady been started, just pull trigget as ur both chrat telling same thing.

Making 10 pips is easy with a good plan
    decide main trend.
rule out any news in the trading time
and look for break of trendline and u get 10 pips

yes but if your target is 10
isnot suposed that yuor stop loss will be atleast 5
which is very easy to lose 5 pips in one trade ?

@ fx trader, i make that mistake a lot, is it wrong to expect every trade to move in the right direction straight away??

on short time (scalping??) trades i aim for 7-15 pips, within a couple of mins. i have very very tight stops, ie 8 pips (11 total).

yup in demo i get stopped out a lot, but i was just thinking that it was me not reading the market right???
