Smile What currency pairs to trade in Forex?

Although there is lots of currency pairs offered to Forex traders, if you are a beginner it is easier to start with major currency pairs:

    EUR/USD
    GBP/USD
    USD/JPY

There are several good reasons for that:

    1. These currency crosses are widely traded, thus providing liquidity which is needed in order to benefit from price changes.
    2. They have tight spreads, except may be for GBP/USD, which most of the time receives higher spread quotation from Forex brokers as it is more volatile (e.g. has wider price ranges than other pairs).

At beginner level trading the Gold is so much risky. Gold movement is very fast as compared to currency pairs andother commodities. Also Gold trading requires large investment and Gold's spreads are high. So begin trading EUR/USD and GBP/USD are best options.

    Hello 0346

I go with: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, USD/CAD & USD/CHF on my "Mirco" account mostly using them as a correlation format.

    Good luck

just choose EUR/USD, it is the best pair for a newby and beginners from my point of vew. It shows low spread and you can trade easely without fearing a reversal market trend. Your positions can stay opened for a long time even if you lose because the pip is priced just 10 $ for a lot.

I have started with trading USD/EUR and I recommend every newbie to use this currency pair. Because with it you can trade easier and oversee the market and its developments.
