    Default Forex vs. Other Investments

Forex is quickly becoming the most popular & lucrative way to invest your money. However there are many other options. Besides Forex, how else do you invest your money & which has been the most successful for you??

There's many to choose from, stocks, bonds, futures, options, commodities, crude oil(becoming very popular), precious metals, real estate etc.

i, for instance, have invested into stocks some years, as my home market has liquidity problems it's more long-term perspective with that. as real estate prices are crashing down nowadays, i think it's worth it to invest in there as well. don't want to expand my investments too much but future market is tempting but first is forex of course

Forex is the #1 investment for many, stocks can be very profitable in a bullish market but there's problems for stock market investors in a bear market.

someone once said the key to doing good business is being a great middle man, i think that forex takes that a step further, and eliminates one of those partys. As a newb with little markets education it certainly is less complex than stocks or commodity's. i know it might turn into an all hail forex post, but really if you are willing to put up with some risk, the ability to earn huge sums of money is readily at everyone's finger tips.

Forex is a bit more complex than stocks but, in a bearish market such as this one, Forex is much more profitable.

you're definitely right there, the huge liquidity and an opportunity for decent profits separate forex from stock market. and that is the main reason i'm planning to take long-term perspective with stocks. and sometimes it seems that the stock market is over regulated, and that is not helping the traders.

I agree, the stock market is very over-regulated and, while a bit more regulation of some brokers could help traders in Forex, I think it's too much on wall street. Oil is looking like a very profitable long term(3-5yr) investment right now as well. Prices are low & chances are they will spike in the next few years with slowly increasing demand & alternative energy sources not hitting the mainstream market for another 7-10 years.
