    Can any one give me a detailed reply on why USD/JPY currency pair is moving up when all the stock markets around the world fall?

    What is the significance of USD/JPY pair?

    UJ is going to 92 before the end of this month or even lower in 2 months time

    ok! i some how manged to find the answer for this question. Yen is the favorite currency for carry trades becuase of its low interest rate, when stock markets fall that denotes recession and consequent reduction in interest rates and thus making carry trades less attractive add to that the fall in value of the currency. In such circumstanses carry trades are closed and causing the yen to appreciate.
