It depends on what you want to do. Scalping is best on short timeframes, intraday in 30min-4H, swing on 1D and above.

I recommend to try daily period BUT with small profits (like 50-100 pips)

This is not possible on MT4. Why would you need such non standard timeframes anyway?

i wondered why there are people who wants to trade with 20min etc on the net. based on what they say, it gives them a compromise of the time they need to do trading. and in my case, i'm just curious, since they said they have done it. thank you.

daytrading is very stressful, long term positions are much better because when you have a signal you'll conduct your trade and after that you can virtually forget your position for some time. it definitely depends how large is your deposit

    Hello smogfly

In answer to your question, it doesn't matter what time frame you set. if an order is set to close/open etc, at 1.2765 it will. Now most people who use the scalping method like watching the 1m time frame as you see it moving quick, on the other hand if you watch it on the daily time frame you'll think it never moves. I personally like the 15 minute frame, but I don't use scalping the way I trade. But if I did I'd watch it using the line chart (that's the solid trend bar) again that is only my choice.
