    Default How?

    Hello,
I just want to know how to know clearly about equity/margin/free margin/free margin% etc, and also how exactly we know how much our account is short of funds.
    Thanks.

Some of the answers you can find here: http://www.fxopen.com/faq.aspx .
Most of information you will find in your MT4 FXOpen trading terminal in Help/Help topics menu.

    Hello onlooker

    Hope this helps a bit:

Balance = all closed orders combined
Margin + free margin = equity
Equity = the different between your gains against losses

Now the most important part of all this.

Your equity showing low will indicate your funds are low.

Your balance can show a profit if your closed orders show bigger gains than losses, but if your open orders have a bigger losing margin then your balance will give you a false reading.

Free margin only indicates how much more orders you can place, free margin showing low or minus, only means you will not be able to place any more orders.
