with using no technical words, "swap" is a credit/debit in your account when you have some positions open and you left them from one day to another... some currencies has a credit, and some has a debit...

    Hello Cesar,

Sure is nice of you to assist.

So, you how does it matter me as a trader ? Usually the value is negative (say -1.2) and as the no of days progresses on with the position still open, the negative value increases (say - 34.6)

Do you read this value yourself when you trade ?

hi, what is increasing is the value in pips for every lot you trade, but you see as dollars, is only the value of the pip... so the swap is changing according that.
the only number that is seriously increasing/decreasing in the positions is the "Profit" column.

as example if you trade 0.2 lots of USDJPY, you must to see around $ 3.37, wich is corresponding with the value of the swap when the price is almost 113 yens... so for now, is some less than that...

In simple terms, Swap is interest based on the interest rates of each country. It will be positive or negative depending on whether you buy or sell and the amount is the difference between the two country's interest rates.
