Thumbs down Can someone explain what trade context busy means

I am really pissed off today! I entered a trade and my position got to a favourable price, I tried to close the position for more than 10 times, the system always replies that Trade context Busy and refused to allow me close the trade till the trade turned against me. Fxopen manager please what is the meaning of this? Is one not allowed to come out of a trade whenever he desires?
    I am truly pissed off.

    Cool Thanks

Hello, Thank you for the explanation. I am sorry I over reacted but it is equally painful to lose valuable pips.

hello, I recommend that you put into your operation, trailing stop and take profit, take off automatically, and you do not have those problems.

Go to Options/Trade in MT4 and set "Deviation by Default" to 2 or 3 and you will not get requotes except in exceptionally fast markets.

Deviation means that your terminal may accept a trade 1 or 2 pips away from your intended entry if the market moves too far in between the request and execution of the order. This is much preferable to a requote which can waste precious time, especially when opening and closing a trade during a major news event.

If you see my answer to your other post about execution speed, I believe it is down to your internet connection.

I didn't think that trade context had anything to do with connection speed. I have since tried many different internet connections and have come to the conclusion that the internet in Indonesia is rubbish!

but no-one can give me an explination for 'order is too close to market'. I have started a new thread titled "strange messages from terminal" in the meta trader forum.

thank you for bearing with me on my search for knowlage

    Hello Psymon,
It is simple, you can not put any pending order if the current market price is in the range of less then 10 pips.

    Hello goldenbody

The context busy message (Journal tab) will indicate the command to sell/buy close/open and so on, can not be applied because too much volume of commands/traffic is going through the system at that point of time(usually news reports)

It has nothing to do with the broker.

    Hello Psymon

Back test my first EA and set the Gap1 input of 4:

Once the test is running go straight to the journal tab, you'll see this message: (OrderSend error 130) http://forum.fxopen.com/showthread.php?t=50754&page=2 post #19 (When the EA is activated on the platform the system will load it into memory, and then reads it, that's why if you put the trailingstop at 14 or under the EA won't work as the programmer of the platform has set the initialization to a minimum of 15.)

Most brokers have a minimum of 10, so set your input to 10 and try again. If it still shows the error keep moving the input up until you find the right setting.
