    Default eur/usd go bullish

$1.35 targeted for EUR/USD? Top Investors Bullish on USD
Institutional Investing giants UBS AG and OppenheimerFunds Inc., are both bullish on the USD, according to a Bloomberg article this morning. (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...7VM&refer=home)

Both firms have taken the Federal Reserve's rate reduction actions as a sign of the bottom of the USD's slide, and the beginning of new economic growth.

"We're not chasing dollar weakness any lower,'' said Robert Robis of OppenheimerFunds Inc. They manage a paltry $260 billion. "The Fed's actions have avoided a long recession and we may start to see a recovery later this year."

He goes on to say that he has reduced the percentage of investments in the EUR in their massive portfolio in favor of USD denominated assets.

While many forex traders may disagree with this economic outlook, what you can't ignore is the impact that large institutional investors have on currency valuations. While any of us may hold $1000 - $100,000 in our forex portfolios, these guys are dealing in the billions. When they make a move, we see it reflected in pricing.

That's why we closely monitor the Committment of Traders (COT) report, to make sure we know what the Big Boy's sentiment is on a pair. And in the last couple weeks, we have, in fact, seen a shift in institutional sentiment from the EUR to the USD (Chart below).

And these guys aren't just a little bullish. UBS actually predicts $1.35 for the EUR/USD by year's end. If you think that's one bank's crazy forecast, consider that the median estimate is $1.40.

However, it still doesn't erase a 10.6% weakening of the USD in 2007.

    Default Using Annual Pivots

Has anyone tried trading using annual pivots, with daily charts.

I have taken some trades here using the annual pivot trend lines, and would like to have some expert comment on these.

check these trades for me please

    GJ 218.52 LONG
    USDCAD 0.9270 SHORT
    GU 2.0055 LONG
    EURUSD 1.4945 LONG
    EJ 160.42 LONG

please do not follow these trades unless you know what you are doing.

    i did however cross check the trendlines for 2007 using 2006 data and it looked promising, got similar results with previous years also;

So what I need to know is whether this has any good performance benefits for longer term traders.
