True. Very many brokers disallow scalping because scalpers basically trade against the brokerages. The brokerages trade in bulk from banks (liquidity providers) and the bulk trades frequently have a wider spread. If we scalp we are playing inside this spread and the brokerage loses. It is unfair. This is why I recommend against scalping. There is so much more money available if we look beyond a few pips and follow the big trend, without having to steal from the brokerage.

The only places where scalping won't be an issue are ECNs that directly link to the liquidity providers. This is one reason I fully admire FXOpen. One can scalp in the ECN account and it won't be an issue.

well, put it that way that scalping normally wouldnt be an issue in any broker till they routing out/hedging all orders properly.

since most order ( if possible) rather gets offset in house, while broker taking both spreads with very cost, or simetimes they just taking the other side, knowing the true price, maybe delaying it a bit deliberately, they dont like you to be constant money maker.

But very true, on ECN it isnt you and your broker, but you and the market.
Even though the brokers always say they dont trade against you, in fact it isnt the point often.

Anyway, i scalp some, and dont have yet any problem, but maybe sometimes a bit slow execution, or little slippage. Though i am not scalping for 1-2 pip.

Oh boy, thats the kind of systems what will make you rich on a demo account. On a real account it will not work or even worse....the account will be crashed.

Anyway....nice magic bean
