Hello FXSupporter

I'm using a new build 416 for my Forexcup contest but I don't seem to have "Gold" as an option, I don't trade this as a rule but maybe others might have this problem on a "Real" platform account without realising it.

I've uploaded an image attachment of the new platform to see if an clues can be found.

My problem is solved thanks to learn2biz.

All I had to do is right click at market watch and choose show all.

Thankyou for information.since i am click help>about,i am find version 4.00 build 4.16 (6 march 2012),whether it's included in old version?because everytime i am login account in metatrader4 always shows update new version,but since i am trying to updated always fail maybe because my connection very weak

I've downloaded the new mt4 in fxopen web, but it can work properly while download some files from metaquotes server. I've dowload the files from the web twice, but still didnt works...

Btw, Almost 1 weeks I didnt trade on fxopen. Help me please...

is there difference between MT4 ECN and MT4 Micro and Standard ? I trade with ever both ignoring that fact. What disadvantages can enconter ? anyway i had better download it now and try some experiences.

Hello CPA

"Micro" and "Standard" use the same parameters:

Example:
StopLoss & Takeprofit minimum 10 pips from market price, only different profit/real money values for lot size.

Example:
"Micro" minimum 0.1 lot size = $0.01 pip value (Avg)
"Standard" minimum 0.1 lot size = $1.0 pip value (Avg)

ECN has uses a different parameters at can set or modify to within 1 pip of market price.

So you need to download the FXOpen MetaTrader 4 (Standard and Micro) setup.exe file if you use one or both in your trading account, or and the FXOpen MetaTrader 4 ECN setup.exe, if you still have not changed over from the June 1, 2012, this don't effect any new customer registering after this date.

But before you jump in and open an account take the time to read more important differents in the link http://www.fxopen.com/faq.aspx#q1

Example:

7) What is the minimum amount to open an account?
The minimum required deposits for FXOpen accounts are as follows.
# Micro: $1
# Standard: $25
# ECN/STP: $1000
For lower risk to your account, we recommend that you begin with $3-$5 in Micro, $300-$500 in Standard, or $5000-$10,000 in ECN/STP accounts.

normal mt4 will only have real 1, 2, 3 and normal demo server, if you want added ECN server you must enter the ECN link server/ip address and standard/micro account will use 4 decimal .
While ECN mt4 only have ECN live and demo server. If you need to added real1,2,3 and normal demo link server/ip address to run on its. ECN account will use 5 decimal ..
( FXOPEN not recommended to use ip address as server address when login into you trading account because the ip address server can be change every day.. Even you can login standard account on ECN mt4 you still only can see 4 decimal.
For easy use and to avoid make mistake when login (keep get invalid account/can't login into mt4) use MT4 ECN for ECN account while normal mt4 for standard/micro account.

Please remember, a few competition you are not allowed to trade on gold/silver. That why the gold/silver are not listed on the market watch list. So the best way are to check the rule competition again either that competition are allowed to trade gold/silver or not.

Another possible reason, you still not un-hide or show that gold/silver pair on the market watch ..
To do that ..please right click on market watch then then choose symbol after that choose which pair you want to show or hide on market watch ...then after done click O.K

I tested mt4 for micro and standard: interesting! specialy with micro just besause of leverage effect. if you have participated in a contest then you can understand how 50$ can turn into 5,000.00$ enabling you to place up to three trades and plan your account managment.
