the trend for USDCHF is downward and not upward for today 14/1/2010.

The pair has reached key resistance level at 1.0280 also 38.2% of last daily fall, having already rebounded at the 61.8% early this week. With 1 hour charts looking a bit exhausted to the upside, pair has not yet enough strength to the upside yet, and a probably downside corrective move must hold above 1.0230/40 area to see a run above today’s high later, that could send the pair higher to the 1.0340 area, as bigger time frames remain bullish.

Under 1.0230 pair could extend the fall to the 1.0200 area, ahead of stronger 1.0165.

Swiss has risen sharply mirroring the fall in Euro after a data release showed a decline in the German Investor confidence. It is now trading in the significant Resistance region 1.0305-35. A break above this Resistance region might see a rise towards 1.0420-50. However, if it holds we might see a downmove once again towards 1.0250-30 in the US session today.
