As the london session opens by 3:00 am EST, 8:00 am GMT, i in GMT+1 time zone, and your platform is using GMT+2. So how can i determine my entry point in the london session and also calculate my pivot points?

Hello mali
Example:
If your entry point is 9.00am Nigeria, it will be 8.00am in the UK. (BST) & 10.00am on the FXOpen platform.
You're an hour ahead of UK and an hour behind the FXOpen platform.
Unsure what you mean about calculating your pivot points?

Hello mali
Think I know what you mean about setting your pivot point.
The London Market Opens at 08.00 (BST) the time will show as 10.00 on the FXOpen platform.
BST = British Summer Time
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time
FXO = FXOpen platform
YTZ = Your Time Zone
LMO = London Market Opens
BST = 08.00-09.00-10.00-11.00-12.00-13.00-14.00-15.00-16.00 close
GMT = 07.00-08.00-09.00-10.00-11.00-12.00-13.00-14.00-15.00 close
FXO = 10.00-11.00-12.00-13.00-14.00-15.00-16.00-17.00-18.00 close
YTZ = 09.00-10.00-11.00-12.00-13.00-14.00-15.00-16.00-17.00 close
Example:
So if you need to know a 4 hour period.
08.00-12.00 London Market Opens
It will be as follows:
BST = 08.00 to 12.00
GMT = 07.00 to 11.00
FXO = 10.00 to 14.00
YTZ = 09.00 to 13.00
LMO = BST
Hope this helps.

Hello mali
I've just noticed this for Nigeria Standard time zone: UTC/GMT +1 hour
No daylight saving time in 2009
That would put you on the BST format above.
It's 2.01pm as I type this does it show the same on your FXOpen forum box Today 02:01 PM in the orange box above.

hi ilearn2t, i appreciate your explanation, and from what you said i can understand that all my actions on the platform should be according to GMT+2.
Then for what you asked, as your time over there is 02:01, the time at the orange box is 01:01. This shows that where you are is an hour ahead of my local time. besides i will like you to tell me the location of the fxopen platform server because sometimes the time on my platform will be 2 hours ahead of my local time and sometimes it will be an hour ahead of me, like now as i'm typing this the platform time is 2 hours ahead of my local time.
Thanks and looking forward to hear from you soon.

Hello mali
I think that is caused by setting our time zone when joining the forum, went I'm not signed in it shows 1.01pm but when I sign in it shows 2.01pm

My world clock shows Israel, but think it might be Egypt.
Check this out:
My platform shows 16.16 (last minute update in History Center) now, time in UK 14.16.

if your platform is showing 16:16 as of that time it then means that the platform server is using GMT+3 and not GMT+2 as manager told me a day before yersterday. Because right now as i'm typing my local time is 02:52, and according to your world clock, GMT is 13:52, and the platform time is 16:52. so what do you have to say about this?

Hello
This is strange. Our meta server time is configured GMT+2. Maybe your PC configuration is incorrect or somehow switcher or daylight saving time at your PC failed or your region settings set incorrectly.
Please carefully set up your windows account.
I hope this will be helpful.

(Who decided in their wisdom to add (BST) to the world, did they not think about the problems it causes on the money market)
i think that what will help in this issue is to be taking actions with platform time, take for example as market closes by 4pm, it then means that we have to be acting according to the brokers time.

Hello FXOpen
I designed a custom indicator what shows my time and the platforms time.
See example: http://forum.fxopen.com/showthread.p...062#post416062 the image is taken from the FXOpen demo account.
5 minutes ago:
My UK (BST) shows 15.42 platform shows 17.42
Up to date minute history center shows
Time = 17.42 open = 1.5148 high = 1.5153 low = 1.5145 close = 1.5153

hi ilearn2t
can you help me with the indicator?

Hello mali
Sorry I use my indicator to give my free members live trading tips. (it's a long story)
I will take the time to make an indicator that will show your own zone and brokers time.
I'll post here when I've completed the indicator.
If that helps.
